Getting there by bike
The ride to Selva Alada is straightforward and enjoyable. Most of the route follows the main road from San Miguel, a mix of paved and gravel surfaces that wind through forested surroundings.
Traffic along this route is generally very light, making it a relaxed and comfortable ride. Much of the journey is shaded by trees, though the first few kilometers offer limited shade. The road is undulating, with frequent small climbs and descents. Along the way, keep an eye on the surrounding forest, it is not uncommon to spot wildlife such as monkeys and a variety of birds.
After reaching the entrance to Villa Maya, take the path directly opposite the entrance. Follow this path for about 1.5 km to reach Selva Alada.
